RANDI TYTINGVÅG TRIO

Randi Tytingvåg has the ability to mesmerise audiences with her music. She has a distinctive voice that ranges from the quiet and fragile to the powerful and raw.

The Randi Tytingvåg Trio is releasing its new album «The Light You Need Exists.» Together, they have created a unique Norwegicana sound; inspired by the diverse American tradition and their own Norwegian roots. This is close and real.

Close interplay and vocal harmonies have become their foremost trademark. They perform as a small chamber orchestra.

On the lyrical side, Tytingvåg has entered into an exciting collaboration with the Jutland poet Helge Torvund. It has been very inspiring and will show new sides of both of them. Yes, Helge Torvund simply writes in English!

The trio draws inspiration from folk, jazz and country.

In addition to Tytingvåg's own compositions, she has chosen songs from her own favourites such as Cole Porter, Joni Mitchell, Tom Waits, Gillian Welch and Friedrich Hollaender. There's something for everyone!
