Britt-Synnøve Johansen

Britt-Synnøve is known for her passionate performances of Edith Piaf's immortal songs, among others. Her communication of music and lyrics gives the listener a rare experience, where she alternates between powerful explosions and the most delicate expression.

Despite a number of releases, Britt-Synnøve is first and foremost a live artist. She is a strong storyteller, and she loves the interaction that occurs between stage and audience. Using the audience actively is something she often does. She writes her own lyrics, but is also happy to interpret or translate others'.

Britt-Synnøve has also had a number of leading roles in major musicals at Rogaland Theatre, including Les Miserables, Tønes, Oliver, Annie, Kristina från Duvamåla and the award-winning production of Billy Elliot.«

In addition to «Mot himmlen i Paris - Piaf på norsk» (2002), Britt-Synnøve has also released tango in Norwegian, gypsy music with Gjertrud's gypsy orchestra and the Spellemann-nominated children's album «Skakke Sanger». Her latest release, «Mørk Salong» (2022), has received excellent reviews.

Britt-Synnøve performs in various constellations, with everything from one musician to a six-piece orchestra.
