What a day for National Day, with musical performances, dancing, an awards ceremony, a speech, a poem, and the national anthem performed by this year's May 17th artist with a choir.
The official 17th of May ceremony took place on the Cathedral steps, right in the heart of Stavanger. The audience enjoyed a varied programme with several cultural contributions. The ceremony was led by presenter and head of the 17th of May Committee 2026, Cille Ihle, while the mayor gave this year's 17th of May speech. It was a memorable commemoration that brought together people of all ages and created many good moments in our city.
Topp Arrangement was engaged as producers in 2026 and was responsible for booking, planning and executing the event.
